Only 2 B-29s Flying Today DOC and FiFi. History and Flight Experience Aboard DOC at Lunken Airport

On this episode, get ready for a jammed packed history lesson about the WWII B-29 Superfortress bomber as well as an exciting flight experience aboard DOC which is one of only two airworthy B-29s still in operation today.
And all of this takes place at the historic Lunken Airport in Cincinnati Ohio on August 31st, which just happens to be the 80th anniversary of the original scheduled date for Japan’s surrender to the United States bringing an end to WWII.
Additionally, this endeavor marks an even greater celebration in my family as my dad, 5th Army Air Force Cpl. Robert W. Heffner was once a crew member aboard a B-29 while serving in Korea during the early days of the Cold War from 1947-1949.
