Surviving Memorabilia, The Gold Watches of the American Association 1941 All-Star Baseball Game
It’s not every day you come across personal items once owned and worn by minor/major league baseball players from the pre-WWII era, especially those items from a specific event.
But here are two spectacular wristwatches from the 1941 American Association’s All-Star Game held on July 16, 1941 at Nicollet Park between the Minneapolis Millers and the American Association All Stars. These watches were given to Harry Kelley and Harvey Walker who both played on the Minneapolis Millers team.
And now after more than 85 years, the story of these two ballplayers and the watches they once owned will be revealed here today – so join us on this episode of History and Relics.
