17 Places To See, Do, and Visit On Your Trip Or Vacation To Washington D.C.

Updated: Jun 22

History and Relics has a jammed packed show for you this week. We’re in Washington D.C and will be taking you on a visual tour all around to many of the different sites including Arlington National Cemetery, a tour of many of the memorials such as the 9/11 Pentagon,  Lincoln and Jefferson memorials as well as the War Memorials for WWII, Korea, and Vietnam.

We’ll even take a stroll down 16th Street at Black Lives Matter Plaza, right up to the fence outside the White House. We’ll then hop on a boat and take a fun daytime cruise out on the Potomac.

Lastly, we’ll make a quick stop at the Smithsonian’s National Museum of American History where the original flag that inspired the Star Bangled Banner is located as well as Dorothy’s ruby red slippers from the 1939 movie The Wizard of Oz, we’ll see a signed baseball from Babe Ruth, costumes of C3PO and R2-D2 from Star Wars, the Return of the Jedi, Edith and Archie’s chairs from classic TV show All in the Family, and even President’s Lincoln’s top hat we wore the night he was assassinated at Ford’s Theater in 1865.

There’s just way too much to see here, so kick back, relax, and enjoy the show right here on History and Relics.
