A Visit to the Ohio Veterans’ Memorial Park in Clinton, Ohio.

All of us, in some way, know or are related to or in some manner connected with someone who has served in the United States Armed Forces. And this is a beautiful memorial park dedicated to preserving the memories of those heroes from Ohio or who have an Ohio connection.

The highlight of the park is the Vietnam Veterans' Memorial Wall. The wall includes the names of over 3,000 Ohioians who gave their lives in the conflict. It is the longest free-standing monument in the nation. However, the park is filled with many “first time” or “only” type things either in Ohio or the Nation and is very much worthy of a visit to explore more.

Whether it’s Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Veteran’s Day, or just a plain ole random Tuesday – whenever you come upon a veteran or next speak to one – Thank them for their service. And for those to have since passed, may we never forget them and always remember their sacrifice.
